Security Updates
- Changed permissions on files in the Jinzora Package for Linux to be more secure.
Features
- Included Fred Hirsch's Custom Metadata Retriever as the new default metadata retrieval service.
- Included Jan Kleinhans' LyricWiki Lyrics Retriever as the new default lyrics retrieval service.
- Added UTF-8 support as described in this Wiki article. All interfaces are now UTF-8 enabled and newly created databases are UTF-8 encoded by default. Please note: Existing databases are not converted. Although MySQL should generate UTF-8 results for existing Jinzora databases, weird characters might appear in Jinzora for special characters that cannot be stored in the charset of the table correctly.
- PHP Multibyte Support is now a new requirement due to the UTF-8 support.
- Changed the default service for Similar Artists and Tracks to Audioscrobbler.
- Backported the Jinzora 3 Interface and Theming engine. All Jinzora Interfaces and Themes now use the engine that is developed for Jinzora 3. Please note, this might cause older Jinzora 2 interfaces and themes to be broken!
Bugs
- Fixed some bugs and enabled some features in the Shoutcast Jukebox.
- Multiple fixes to interfaces/themes Andro, Classic, Gina, Medialibrary and Slick to work with the newly implemented interface/theming engine.
- Improved the Audioscrobbler Similar Artists and Tracks scripts to be more reliable.
- Support for track numbers longer then 2 digits. See this forum topic for details.
- Fix for DOCUMENT_ROOT errors on IIS as discussed in this topic.
- Fix for serializing problem introduced by php 5.2.x as described in this topic.
