Media Resampling

Jinzora’s on-the-fly resampling downsamples your media to a lower sample rate.

Downsampling the sample rate - often refered to as lowering the bit rate - can decrease the size of a file or stream.

Resampling helps to manage and lower the required bandwidth, which is ideal for high traffic websites and sites that have a bandwidth limit.

All resampling is done in memory and in real-time: Media files do not have to be pre-converted, no additional copies are stored and the original file stays untouched.

Resmpling is handled by Jinzora through the use of a third-party application called ‘lame’.
