Jinzora was originally designed for on-demand streaming of MP3’s from one centralized media library to multiple clients.

Though Jinzora nowadays supports all major audio and video formats, the basic philosophy never changed.

Stop copying and synchronizing your media between your computer, iPod, game console, car stereo, home stereo, mobile phone, iPod, PDA, Chumby and Squeezebox. Enjoy your media at home, at work or while traveling from one single storage location.

Jinzora is a web based application, written in PHP. All you need is a web server with PHP support to run it.

Jinzora dynamically creates web pages that can be used to browse through your online collection. The web pages are presented by several full featured interfaces. An interface can be used stand-alone or embedded into your favorite Content Management System (CMS).

The range of available interfaces fits different needs and purposes, including interfaces for desktop computers, mobile phones and the Nintendo Wii.

The Jinzora interfaces add a lot of functionality to your new online media library, like the ability to download missing metadata, generate random playlists, perform power searches and an open API to access from third-pary software.

And yet, Jinzora is completely free! Amazing, isn’t it?

We’ve chosen to release Jinzora under the terms of GNU’s General Public Licence (GPL). This means you are allowed, to use, modify and even redistribute Jinzora without paying anything!
